if you want to read more-more-more about the Glass family. While the first novel is a comparatively easily digestable piece about Buddy's recollection of Seymour's wedding that provides the reader with other pieces to the "Glass-saga" puzzle, you might not want to start the "Introduction" until you have read all the classics, otherwise it can be very frustrating having to look up every other name that comes up.
